CLDP organized commercial law presenters on October 25, 2011 for the annual GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Legislative Drafters Conference in Muscat, Oman, hosted by the Oman Ministry of Legal Affairs (MOLA) for the Ministries of Legal Affairs attending from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.  CLDP provided presentations regarding Customs Law, Company Law, Corporate Governance, and Insolvency Law.  CLDP experts educated technical law writers in attendance regarding those laws that are likely to be modernized in the Arabian Peninsula over the next few years.  CLDP has worked with GCC countries over the past several years on developing new commercial laws, which will likely become increasingly uniform throughout the region.  In conjunction with the GCC Secretariat advising in Riyadh, regional conferences such as this GCC Legislative Drafters Conference will assist in harmonizing commercial laws in the region.
