On April 6, CLDP distributed Parts II & III of a multi-part webinar series on the U.S. Advance Ruling System to the Honduran Customs Authority and Secretariat of Economic Development. These prerecorded webinars cover customs valuation and the modification, revocation, and appeal of advance rulings and will be used to continue to foster strong and transparent advance ruling systems in Central America, particularly in Honduras. CLDP is conducting a series of technical workshops with the Honduran Customs Authority to encourage broad publication of advance ruling decisions, ensure consistent valuation practices, and facilitate uniform implementation of final decisions across points of entry. This multi-part webinar series will enable CLDP to set the stage for best practices before addressing discrete obstacles the Honduran Customs Authority face in administering their respective custom valuation systems.
