CLDP conducted a week of faculty consultations and interactive workshops to help Sultan Qaboos University College of Law and Qatar University College of Law establish international commercial arbitration programs centered on participation in an international competition (or moot). This week represented the first phase of the project and focused on program administration, coaching skills, training faculty on resource use, commercial arbitration basics, etc. The program, which has been a success at the University of Bahrain, not only imparts essential skills for these countries' future lawyers to support business transactions and the economic rule of law, but further integrates their educational and legal institutions into the international legal community.
