Iraq: Consultations with Basrah Port Officials

On September 13, CLDP, in coordination with the US Consulate in Basrah, Iraq, conducted consultations in Basrah for the Director General of the Basrah Airport and other key officials from the Port of Basrah, to determine potential CLDP technical assistance that may be provided in order to improve port security, customs, and services.  Basrah port officials are determined to implement key investment projects to improve the port by developing prospective joint ventures with credible firms.  CLDP will continue working with the Consulate in Basrah to tailor technical assistance that would support and guide the Port’s ambitious investment plan.
