On April 4, CLDP organized a U.S. inter-agency virtual meeting on 5G with the Communication Authority of Kenya under the Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership. Discussions focused on Government of Kenya priorities on Open Radio Access Networks and included presentations from the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This meeting was a follow-up to the U.S. and Kenya Bilateral Cyber Dialogue and is intended to be the first in a series of meetings between the Governments of Kenya and the United States to assess Government of Kenya priorities and potential future engagements to support the ongoing development and implementation of Kenya’s Roadmap and Strategy for 5G.
