From November 3-6, 2015, CLDP conducted a Competition Law Workshop on Merger Cases for the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP). CCP has been identified by U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) competition experts as a model for developing countries trying to establish sustainable competition regimes. CLDP's three FTC experts conducted a four-day workshop for the CCP staff which is designed to replicate each step in a merger case from receiving the initial notice, to passing a judgment. This workshop was the second phase in a series intended to build the technical capacity of the CCP. The next phase will take place in March, 2016.
