On April 12, CLDP,  in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), conducted a virtual workshop on best practices for the procurement of cloud-based services for officials from Peru’s centralized procurement agency (Peru Compras). GSA experts provided an overview of the cloud procurement process in the U.S. federal government and flagged important cybersecurity considerations. Peru Compras is in the process of creating a framework agreement for cloud services and has requested CLDP’s assistance to incorporate best practices. This workshop is part of CLDP’s multi-phase assistance to help the Government of Peru develop mechanisms for procuring new technologies to streamline and optimize government functions while protecting their security and integrity.
