On November 15-16, the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) hosed its inaugural conference on "The Role of Institutional Arbitration in Economic Reforms and Investment Promotion," under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Justice Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, and H.E. Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, with the cooperation of the International Center for Disputes Resolution. The two-day conference offered participants a unique opportunity to review arbitration best practices within several international arbitration institutions, the different alternative disputes resolution (ADR) practices in the region, associated challenges, and the role of other entities in relation to supporting the development of the institutional arbitration industry in the Kingdom and abroad. The conference brought together 46 experts from 14 countries to address more than 600 attendees. CLDP is an integral partner to SCCA, consistently contributing to the strategic development of ADR practice in the Kingdom through joint workshops and conferences.
