On November 16, the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), in cooperation with CLDP, initiated the Youth Arbitration Moot for the premier legal institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in both Arabic and English. The Youth Arbitration Moot will be the first National Moot on Commercial Arbitration, focused on developing the capacity of the next generation of ADR practitioners in the Kingdom. The Moot will be modeled after CLDP’s Middle East Vis Pre-Moot Program, which prepares teams from the Middle East and North Africa to compete in the International Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, a program created by the UN aimed to spread the use of international commercial arbitration. Through the Youth Arbitration Moot, SCCA will improve clinical legal education, increase the use of arbitration, and develop the capacity of current and future ADR lawyers in Saudi Arabia.
