From December 6-10 in Katowice, Poland, CLDP supported 15 government officials and civil society representatives from South Asia to participate in the 16th Annual United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF). The IGF is a United Nations annual event focused on connectivity, infrastructure development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity/cybercrime, privacy, and data management. CLDP held a pre-conference session for its participants, where experts provided information to familiarize them with the IGF’s structure of workshops and sessions and held a discussion on issues of relevance to South Asia. Participants gained information allowing them to make improvements in future laws or policies, inform their national or regional IGFs, and build connections to exchange information and ideas with each other.
