From November 1-3, 2022, CLDP, together with experts from Ag Aligned Global, will conduct a workshop for food safety officials from Sri Lanka’s Plant Protection and Quarantine Division, Ministry of Health, and Standards Institute in Colombo, Sri Lanka. After beginning with an overview of the main principles of food safety-related risk analysis, management, and communication, the workshop will consist of a series of case studies and interactive exercises in which the participants approach food safety issues and develop strategies applying risk assessment and management principles. These trainings are part of CLDP’s wider efforts to provide technical assistance for improving Sri Lanka’s food safety, attracting foreign investment, and facilitating increased international trade in Sri Lanka.
