Tunisian Delegation Visits US for Franchising Consultations and International Franchise Expo

CLDP hosted a delegation of 15 Tunisians including representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and from the private sector who focus on franchising in Washington, DC and New York, NY from June 18-22, 2013. The visit was part of a larger initiative aiming to liberalize franchising in Tunisia. CLDP has been providing technical assistance on franchising to the Government of Tunisia (GOT) for the last three years.
The delegation attended a two-day program in Washington DC, organized by CLDP, focusing on the basic concepts of franchising as well as the legal aspects. The participants also traveled to New York, NY to attend the International Franchise Exposition, June 21-22, 2013, which is the largest such event in the country, with more than 400 franchises represented.
