CLDP facilitated a program for a delegation of Central Bank colleagues from Uzbekistan to visit Washington D.C. from September 25 – 29, 2023 for an exchange on risk-based supervision, cross-border payment, and cybersecurity practices for CBU. CLDP worked with private sector and government partners to organize a series of payment and cybersecurity roundtable discussions and visits among US government and industry colleagues. The delegation will discussed: (1) construction of fault-tolerant systems and ensuring continuity IT infrastructure (construction of data centers, high manageability and scalability); (2) cybersecurity (measures to assess and manage cyber risks in international payment systems; investigation and response to cyber threats; cybersecurity incident notification system in payment systems and organization of data exchange on cybersecurity incidents); (3) mechanisms to collaborate on digital payments using innovative tools including NFC and QR; (4) cooperation in the supervision of cross-border transfers.
