From February 6-8, 2023, CLDP, in coordination with Association ARBITRI and the University of Zenica, held a three-day training on oral advocacy to prepare law students from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Kosovo, and Germany for the 30th Willem C. Vis Moot competition (Vis Moot) that will take place this April in Vienna. CLDP’s training focused on topics that include how to deliver an argument: the importance of structure, time management and alternative arguments, and how to respond to arbitrators. On February 9th, CLDP invited Vis Moot teams, attorneys, private sector, and government officials to attend a conference on Contract and Disputes with Government-Owned Companies: International Arbitration at the Intersection of Public and Private Interests. The conference was followed by a networking event, sponsored by CLDP and BiH American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).  This allowed students to practice their networking skills and meet with local law firms and BiH companies.  These networking events often times lead to internships for our Vis Moot students.
