CLDP held a workshop on the adjudication of insolvency cases for the Georgian judiciary. The workshop consisted of presentations, live discussions, and interactive case studies with U.S. Federal Bankruptcy judges. This workshop helped to build the capacity of Georgian judges to interpret Georgia’s new insolvency law in a manner that is consistent with international practices.  Judicial training is critical as the new law increases opportunities for companies to reorganize rather than liquidate.
