From March 18-22, CLDP will support the attendance of a delegation from the Sri Lankan Ministries of Health, Commerce, and Agriculture to the WTO SPS Committee, following an in-depth training with experts from the WTO’s Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation in Colombo in February. CLDP will work with participants to develop strategies to maximize the benefits of their participation with the Committee and attendance of the Committee meeting. This program is part of CLDP’s wider efforts to provide technical assistance for improving Sri Lanka’s food safety, attracting foreign investment, and facilitating increased international trade in Sri Lanka.
