Anastasiia Futrell is an International Program Specialist with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce. At CLDP, Ms. Futrell works on the Europe-Eurasia team focusing on regional programming in Georgia and Armenia.

Prior to joining CLDP, Ms. Futrell participated in the U.S. Department of Defense-sponsored professional development fellowship, English for Heritage Language Speakers (EHLS), at Georgetown University. Before the fellowship, she worked at a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit for seven years, implementing U.S. Department of State-funded professional exchanges and overseeing the Edmund S. Muskie Professional Fellowship program. Earlier, Ms. Futrell worked in Ukraine as a language instructor, cross-cultural facilitator, and program manager with the Peace Corps and American Councils for International Education.

Ms. Futrell has BA and MA in education and teaching from Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, Ukraine. She is a native speaker of Ukrainian and a fluent speaker of Russian.
