Emma Reed

International Program Specialist

Emma Reed is an International Program Specialist with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) working on the Middle East and Africa team. 

Prior to joining CLDP, Emma was a Boren Fellow to Rabat, Morocco where she studied Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) through the lens of Moroccan culture. During this time, she worked on numerous cultural projects focusing on health, educational outreach, and environmental protection and preservation. Emma holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Texas A&M University, with concentrations in the Middle East and Africa as well as counterterrorism, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University. Additionally, she studied French and Arabic throughout her undergraduate degree as well as attended Middlebury's Arabic immersion program. In her professional experience, she was an intern to the U.S. Mission to the U.N. in the Protocol Office, looking at how diplomatic protocol affects policy outcomes, as well as an intern to Greater Texas Foundation, researching education trends and the impact of AI.
