Grishma Pradhan is a Senior Attorney-Advisor with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she works on Asia-Pacific legal and regulatory reform programs. At CLDP, she advises partner governments on public-private partnership legal frameworks, international commercial dispute resolution policy, and investment climate reforms, supporting counterpart governments across the Asia-Pacific in developing the legal and institutional foundations for bankable infrastructure transactions. Her work engages governments across sectors including energy, ports, and transport infrastructure, and supports U.S. commercial and strategic interests in the region.

Before joining CLDP, Ms. Pradhan worked as Legislative Counsel to U.S. Senator Michael F. Bennet (D-Colorado), where she led the senator’s transportation and infrastructure and judiciary policy. Prior to the U.S. Senate, Ms. Pradhan worked as a Staff Attorney at the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center where she practiced domestic violence-related immigration law, housing law, and family law. Ms. Pradhan also previously worked as a Disability Rights Attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid. Ms. Pradhan graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in Economics. She received her J.D. from Tulane University Law School and is admitted to practice law in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Ms. Pradhan has fluency in Nepali, Newari, and is conversational in Mandarin, French, and Hindi.
