Jack Shaked is an Attorney-Advisor with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce. At CLDP, Jack is a member of the Energy & Minerals team where he focuses on critical minerals and nuclear energy.

Prior to joining CLDP, Jack was a litigator in the New York office of Hogan Lovells, where he represented Fortune 500 companies in complex commercial and regulatory matters. His prior work also includes analysis of mining and sustainability laws in African countries for the World Bank, as well as writing on supply chain cybersecurity risk and corporate liability.

During law school, Jack served in the Department of Defense Office of the General Counsel and at Transparency International. He began his career working on nuclear energy policy at the Breakthrough Institute and U.S. foreign policy at the Atlantic Council.

Jack holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law, an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Pitzer College.
