John Ventura is an International Program Specialist with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), where he supports the Latin America and Caribbean team.

Prior to joining CLDP, Mr. Ventura served as a Community Economic Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Costa Rica. In this role, he collaborated with local and national development organizations, municipal leaders, and public committees to design and implement community development initiatives. He advised small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community groups on improved business practices, evaluated program outcomes to inform improvements, and taught business courses to high school students.

Mr. Ventura earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, double majoring in Marketing and Finance, Investment & Banking. While an undergraduate, he interned with PepsiCo and the Wisconsin Athletics Department and completed a direct exchange program in Madrid, Spain, at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Mr. Ventura is fluent in Spanish and is currently learning Portuguese.
