On Tuesday, June 3, 2008, representatives from government and private sectors of Egypt and the U.S. met to witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and the American National Standards Institute.

In response to the request by the Palestine Standards Institution (PSI), CLDP invited two PSI officials to participate in the NIST Standards in Trade Workshop on WTO/TBT Inquiry Point Operations for India, Middle East, and North Africa.

CLDP convened the seventh meeting for the members of the Southeast Europe Food Safety, Animal Health, and Plant Health working groups in Montenegro.
