CLDP held a week-long workshop focusing on contracts and procurement in Istanbul, Turkey, organized in cooperation with the law and business schools at Turkey’s Koç University.

Telecommunications lawyers from Iraq's Communications and Media Commission (CMC) and Ministry of Communications (MoC) took part in discussions, presentations and case studies with university and guest lecturers on topics ranging from the legal foundations of procurement, international contracting, drafting and management, the economics of privatization, and international arbitration. The lawyers also met with high-level officials from the Turkish Information and Communications Technology Regulatory Authority and with the private law firm, White and Case. This was workshop is one stage in a multiphase training offered to the Iraqi lawyers.
