On May 19-23 2014 in Seattle, Washington, CLDP conducted a commercial law harmonization program for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) lawyers from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).  During this legislative drafting program, the University of Washington School of Law’s Sustainable International Development Law Faculty; in-house counsels from Amazon, Boeing, Costco, Expeditors, and Microsoft; and CLDP experts held sessions on legal analysis for GCC lawyers.  The program focused on regional and international harmonization of commercial laws such as company, lending, and insolvency law. Participants shared their commercial law drafting experience and received feedback regarding their research and methodologies.
