CLDP Attorney Advisor Joe Gattuso held two days of consultations in Islamabad with officials from the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority to identify subject areas for future CLDP training and assess the staff’s current level of skill and knowledge. Mr. Gattuso also met with officials of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Internet Society. CLDP is coordinating its assistance with the United States Telecommunications Training Institute (USTTI), which will host a delegation of Pakistani officials for training later this year. USTTI is a public-private, non-profit partnership dedicated to sharing the knowledge necessary to make modern communications a reality throughout the developing world.
