CLDP hosted a delegation of 20 Tunisian franchising stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, Competition Council, private-sector executives, and bankers in Paris, France from March 20-22, 2015 for a program on franchising. The program is part of a larger initiative aiming to liberalize franchising in Tunisia. CLDP has been providing technical assistance on franchising in Tunisia for the last five years.

The delegation attended a two-day training focusing on the basic concepts and legal aspects of franchising, including a visit to a local franchise. The participants also attended Franchise Expo Paris, one of the largest such events in the world, with more than 450 franchises represented. At the expo, participants were introduced to US franchises.

This program was organized in coordination with the US Embassy in Tunis, US Embassy in Paris, and the Middle East Investment Initiative and was funded through the US Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).
