US Consultations for Armenian Government Officials on Monitoring Contract Performance

CLDP, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of Armenia (MoF), held four days of U.S. Consultations on Monitoring Contract Performance in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The goal of the consultations was to provide the five-person MoF delegation with an exchange of best practices and training on how US agencies ensure transparent, effective, and efficient contract performance.

Taking into account specific questions and topics of interest to the Armenian delegation, the consultations included meetings with the Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and National Institute of Standards and Technology; General Services Administration; U.S. Digital Services; Department of Health and Human Services; Department of Defense; Government Accountability Office; Executive Office of The President; and the Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI)/Defense Acquisition University (DAU), among others.

The consultations included meetings, comprehensive discussions, and site visits with the Office of Federal Public Policy, Commerce’s International Trade Administration, and a number of federal agency representatives on public procurement processes. Through these consultations, the Armenian delegation had an opportunity to discuss the mission, structure, and services provided by these agencies and learn about best practices to strengthen Armenia’s public procurement system.
