CLDP, in close cooperation with the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and U.S. embassy Tunis, co-organized a Workshop on Franchising in Algiers, Algeria on January 25, 2016. The program featured franchising experts from Europe and the United States and brought together more than 250 participants including government stakeholders from the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Indistury, and the Central Bank; Algerian franchisors; and members of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce. The program is part of CLDP's work in North Africa promoting franchising as a tool for entrepreneurship and small-business development.
