On March 28-29, CLDP organized a training with experts Judge Jed Rakoff and Judge Denise Cote, each senior judges sitting on the District Court for the Southern District of New York,  for 23 Bahraini judges in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice’s Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI) over the course of a two-day workshop. CLDP experts discussed various aspects of case management, automation, servicing and court organization that have been the primary issues that have affected contract enforcement in Bahrain.  Participants to the training also included the trainee judges that will graduate this year as part of the inaugural class of the Future Judges Program.  This training is part of a multiphase process to build capacity of Bahrain’s judiciary on contract enforcement.  On March 30,  Judge Cote also led a discussion on serving in the legal profession with women law students at the Royal University for Women.
