CLDP hosted a high-level delegation from the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) in Washington, DC from April 4-8 for a Program on Best Practices in Competition and Consumer Protection Law Policy and Enforcement.  The delegates participated in the American Bar Association 2016 Antitrust Spring Meeting, which offered sessions on current issues faced by competition authorities.  They also participated in the International Competition Network Roundtable Discussion at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC)  that focused on the policy, investigation and enforcement of competition law cases, including mergers, agreements, abuse of dominant position, deceptive practices, and cartels. The professional capacity gained by CCP officials and staff through this training will contribute to the transparency and predictability of domestic and international business transactions.
