On February 26-27, 2020, CLDP organized a workshop on best practices in government procurement for public-private partnerships in Kathmandu, Nepal, as a continuation of its Indo-Pacific portfolio on infrastructure development and finance. In March 2019, Nepal passed a PPP law and designated the Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) as the country’s PPP authority. CLDP’s training aims to build competency of IBN’s staff, as well as that of other Nepali government ministries. Through a series of trainings and capacity-building workshops, CLDP hopes to increase understanding of PPPs among the Nepali government, private sector, and public.
