On July 1, CLDP, in coordination with U.S. Embassy Sarajevo and Association Arbitri, held a webinar to prepare faculty and coaches from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, and Georgia in their selection of students for the annual Willem C. Vis Moot competition (Vis Moot) that will take place in Vienna, Austria, in April 2021. CLDP implemented a training on team selection, funding and sponsorship, and coaching styles with CLDP-sponsored international and local experts who guided the trainers through the coaching sessions and interactive practice. Given the previous success of BiH teams, where the University of Mostar advanced to the final rounds of the competition in March 2020, CLDP plans to host other interactive sessions and workshops, including a Vis Moot written program to be held on October 16-18 in Mostar, BiH. Education and participation in Vis Moot competition will strengthen the international commercial law framework in BiH thereby fostering a sound business environment that promotes the U.S. economic interests and increases BiH’s integration with Western markets.
