Amidst the global impact of the coronavirus, the 28th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Moot in Vienna was hosted online. CLDP sponsored teams from Burma, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, and Southern Europe and Caucasus regions to compete with more than 300 law school teams from over 100 countries.
The Vis Moot is the most prestigious international moot on commercial arbitration where over 300 law school teams from around 100 countries compete on oral and written advocacy. The Vis Moot experience helps the participating students with the skills necessary to handle commercial business disputes and bolsters the rule of law in their respective countries. CLDP provides training in several phases to the teams from emerging markets, aiming at improving contract enforcement mechanisms through the development of efficient ADR practice by supporting their participation to the Vis Moot competition.
