On August 3-7, CLDP in partnership with the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, the U.S. Agency for International Development organized a week-long virtual delegation for the Power Africa Fellows. The Power Africa Fellows program is an annual fellowship that welcomes highly qualified African energy lawyers at U.S. law firms to develop world-class skills and experience in energy transactions to be transferred back to the Fellows’ home law firms and colleagues. The fellowship program is part of the U.S. Government's campaign to increase access to power in Sub-Saharan Africa through the Power Africa initiative, which focuses on driving private investment from U.S. companies into African power projects. The virtual week-long session in D.C. provided the fellows the opportunity to meet U.S. Government agencies and learn about their missions with Africa.
