On September 15-16, CLDP, in coordination with Embassy Baku and the Azerbaijan Justice Academy, will hold a two-part webinar on Secured Lending Transactions for Azerbaijan judges.  The first webinar series will focus on the foundations of secured transaction, including a review of the Azerbaijan mortgage law and moveable property law. Specifically, experts will focus on the enforcement of secured lending agreements as it is applicable to resolving these disputes in local courts.  Case studies designed for the judges will also be a component of each webinar. Azerbaijan recently revised its movable property law to include a digital collateral registry, CLDP technical assistance to Azerbaijan focuses on rule of law and application of international best practices that will level the playing field for U.S. and local businesses.
