On October 26, In order to raise awareness of the Singapore Mediation Convention and encourage Kuwait to consider becoming a signatory, CLDP partnered with the Kuwait Supreme Council for Planning and Development (SCPD) and the Kuwait Commercial Arbitration Centre (KCAC) to conducted a webinar for stakeholders in Kuwait regarding the provisions and value of the Singapore Mediation Convention. Enlisting the expertise of International ADR expert James MacPherson of International Dispute Resolution Specialists (IDRS) and Shari’a Scholar and Attorney at Law Muddassir Siddiqui, CLDP presented to participants the content and purpose of the Singapore Mediation Convention, as well as a case study aimed at educating participants regarding the process of negotiating between litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
