From February 7 to 28, 2022, CLDP, in cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh Center for International Legal Education, conducted a virtual “boot camp” training on oral advocacy in international commercial arbitration for university teams preparing to compete in the 29th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot). The training is a guided month-long course for faculty and coaches preparing their university teams for the Vis Moot, by developing their oral arguments, covering all essential elements of oral advocacy from introductions to sur-rebuttal. Teams will continue to compete in the 12th annual Middle East Pre-Moot in March and the Vis Moot in April. This training is a component of CLDP’s 7-month Vis Pre-Moot training program, which aims to expand the Vis Moot to underrepresented regions and enhance contract enforcement mechanisms globally.
