On May 31, CLDP, in collaboration with the EBRD, OECD, MAPS Secretariat, UNCITRAL, WTO Secretariat, World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank, organized a procurement workshop for Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. Leading procurement specialists from multilateral development organizations and banks provided an overview of current initiatives to support ongoing public procurement reforms in Tajikistan and Kyrgyz Republic and examined strategic use of procurement assessment methods such as the Methodology for Assessing Procurement Systems (MAPS) as an important tool for enhancing public procurement reforms. This workshop was conducted as part of CLDP’s bilateral technical assistance programs in Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic to support the countries’ legal and institutional reforms on public procurement in line with international best practices and principles.
