From June 21 – 23, 2023, CLDP held a workshop on business development and stakeholder engagement for 10 delegates from 2 Pakistani ADR Centers: the Musaliha International Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MICADR) and the Institute of Business Administration Dispute Resolution Forum (IBA-DRF). The workshop began with a deep dive into each center’s pitch deck, including actionable feedback for incorporation into each respective presentation. To follow, expert speakers from the New York International Arbitration Center (NYIAC), Singapore International Mediation Center (SIMC) and Gaillard Banifatemi Shelbaya (GBS) Disputes conducted example pitches and led a series of sessions regarding pitching to different audiences, generating growth in dispute resolution, and driving success in dispute resolution services. The centers ended the week with individual breakout sessions with the experts, and final business development presentations incorporating learned concepts. This workshop forms a part of CLDPs ongoing support for the development of effective ADR mechanisms to strengthen Pakistan’s business enabling environment.
