Angelica Sanchez Vega is an Attorney-Advisor on the Latin America and Caribbean team with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of the General Counsel. Prior to joining CLDP, Angelica practiced commercial real estate law at a Kentucky law firm and served as Executive Advisor and General Counsel of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. More recently, Angelica was a Senior Program Officer for Economic Equity and Director of Gift Planning at the Community Foundation of Louisville.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Angelica held various roles at Sazerac Inc., Summit Energy Services (now Schneider Electric), and the Legal Aid Society in Louisville, Kentucky. Angelica received a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and is licensed to practice law in Kentucky. She also holds an MBA and a B.A. in Economics and International Studies from Bellarmine University.  Angelica is a native Spanish speaker and speaks some French.
