CLDP Drafts an Alternative Dispute Resolution Handbook

-
ADR Handbook Drafting

CLDP convened a group of international experts from the U.S., UK, Balkans, the Middle East, and Singapore at the German Arbitration Institute in Bonn, Germany to institutionalize this work through the drafting of an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Handbook. This handbook introduces readers to ADR, including detailed overviews of mediation and arbitration, as well as perspectives on designing ADR systems for policymakers. With valuable insights for all operating stakeholders, the contents will be globally deployable across developing countries where CLDP operates.

A durable international dispute resolution system instills confidence in U.S. companies to enter foreign markets upholding processes that earn legitimacy through steady, predictable application. The handbook will serve as a guide for government institutions, policymakers, and businesses who contribute to and develop countries’ arbitration ecosystems that work to produce efficient and sustainable resolutions to commercial disputes.
