Joe Yang is a Senior Attorney with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) where he works on programs in the Middle East and Africa. Joe recently returned to CLDP after a 2-year assignment as the Principal Commercial Officer at the U.S. Consulate, Mumbai. In his 16+-year career with the Department, he has provided services and designed programs primarily in South and Southeast Asia with a particular focus on diversifying global supply chains, energy, pharmaceuticals, critical minerals and mining, intellectual property and subnational infrastructure. Joe earned his J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law and his B.A. from Northwestern University.
