Marianne Guérin-McManus is a Senior Counsel in the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce Office of the General Counsel.Ms. Guérin-McManus’ expertise is inProject Financing, Capacity building and Development in Transitional and Developing countries.Ms. McManus has over 15 years of expertise in international financial transactions and intellectual property law. 

Prior to working with CLDP, Ms. McManus was the Executive Director of the Global Conservation Fund, at Conservation International (CI). She has extensive experience in policy, financial deals, contract negotiations at the decision making level, in the United States, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.An attorney in both civil and common law, prior to working with CI, Ms. Guérin-McManus was an associate with law firms in France and the United States.  

Ms. Guérin-McManus studied and received degrees at Georgetown University Law Center, Canterbury School of Law in Great Britain, and Grenoble University School of Law in France.She is fluent in French, Spanish, and English
