From June 12-19, 2024, CLDP held two government-to-government workshops to assist both the Albanian and the Montenegrin governments with developing an investment screening mechanism. The purpose of these workshops, which brought together officials from several ministries, was to inform the various government officials on best practices in developing (1) a system of information gathering for incoming investments; and (2) the capability to screen out malign investments. Both of these workshops were the first in a series of workshops, ideally culminating in legislation creating an investment screening mechanism.
