On June 2 – 4, 2026 at the Algerian Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Microenterprises A-Venture center, CLDP coached Algerian technology startups on how to commercialize their technology through proving the uniqueness and marketability of their inventions.  Experts from Cornell University and SelectUSA heard pitches and marketing strategies of technology startups that want to find US partners to enter US and global markets. Through this process, CLDP identified startups with technology applicable to healthcare, automobile parts manufacturing, and weather analysis among others that are prepared to partner with US companies for licensing and investment.

This program is part of a year-long effort by CLDP to identify and support Algerian developed technology to partner with US investment and manufacturing entities.  This programming includes coaching on how to pitch technology to US investors and manufacturers, attracting venture capital, and contract negotiation.  Through these programs, CLDP predicts that CLDP support of Algerian IP startups will lead to partnerships with US entities that will benefit US companies by obtaining access and equity in unique technologies developed in Algeria.

Technology transfer and Intellectual Property (IP) Commercialization strengthens intellectual property protection and helps drive innovation, growth, and economic development by helping technology startups commercialize their ideas. Successful implementation expands opportunities for U.S. companies and enhances IP security infrastructure in developing countries.
