On February 17, CLDP in coordination with Embassy Baku and the Azerbaijan Justice Academy will hold a two-part webinar on International Arbitration for Judges.  The first webinar series will focus on international treatises such as the New York Convention and the application of such treaties and instruments on cross-border disputes.  The second webinar will focus on the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sales of Goods (CISG), and specifically focusing on the enforcement of arbitral awards. Case studies specifically designed for the judges will also be a component of each webinar. Azerbaijan recently joined the NY Convention and is in the process of executing a new arbitration and mediation center, CLDP technical assistance to Azerbaijan focuses on rule of law and application of international best practices that will level the playing field for U.S. and local businesses.
