The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), in coordination with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, conducted a three-part webinar series (June 25, July 07, July 19) that focused on public-private partnerships (PPPs) within the broader framework of procurement. The topics for this webinar included the following: (1) Pre-Qualification and Evaluation; (2) Unsolicited Proposals; and (3) PPP or Traditional Procurement: Screening Projects. Each topic was divided into two segments. The first segment was a pre-recorded session from CLDP’s PPP Series that provided a basic overview of the topic. The second segment was a “live” interactive discussion that built upon the material from the first segment. The live sessions were moderated by CLDP and included subject matter experts that expanded on questions prepared by the Ministry of Economy and participants of the program after they viewed the pre-recorded video presentations. This webinar series provided a high-level overview of foundational concepts of PPPs and the PPP process. The live sessions provided a platform for dialogue between the Ministry, participants, and experts in the field to ensure that PPP legislative and regulatory framework aligns with international best practice.
