CLDP conducted a two-day workshop in Cairo on May 22 and 23 for 85 Economic Court Egyptian judges, followed by a second two-day workshop in Cairo on May 24 and 25 for a further 85 Economic Court judges. The Egyptian judges were exposed to a comparative perspective; engaged in in-depth discussions with a U.S. Federal Court judge experienced in Bankruptcy proceedings; and took part in discussions as to application of the Egyptian Law. On the second day of the workshop, they were addressed and led in discussion by the head of the NCJS, Dr Bassiouni on developments in and application of the provisions of Egyptian law in the area.
