On April 8, CLDP offered simultaneous interpretation between English and Portuguese in support of ITA’s Brazil-U.S. virtual roundtable on cross-border data flows and cooperation on data protection. The roundtable reached over 30 specialists from the U.S. Government and the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority, offering an opportunity for dialogue on mechanisms for maintaining cross-border data flows and achieving interoperability between the federal data protection laws of the two countries. CLDP supported this discussion under the Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership, a global U.S. initiative to advance connectivity and digital trade, improve policy and regulatory environments for ICT sector growth, and enhance cyber security.
