CLDP launched Phase I of the 2020-21 Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot (the Vis Moot) advocacy training with four Burmese universities. The Vis Moot is the premier commercial law moot in the world. The Q&A session simulated the question and answer process that occurs during a moot competition, with CLDP advisors asking each student sample questions. This session provided the students an opportunity to receive live feedback to help them prepare for the Myanmar National Vis competition in February 2021. Through the National competition, CLDP selects the best oralist who will receive a virtual internship with an arbitration center in the Asia-Pacific region.
